Community Safety Projects
The RSSB's National Programmes, Railway Operations team assist the industry by providing a support service. Part of the service is the provision of communications to ensure that good practice is spread throughout the industry. This is achieved through dedicated websites, newsletters, workshops, etc. Some of the services are detailed below:
Community Safety Resource Centre
The Community Safety Resource Centre website contains information on all aspects of the industry’s approach to community safety matters. The aim of the site is to provide the industry with a one-stop-shop for resources and information on community safety issues. Areas of the site focus on community safety topics, including assaults, trespass, vandalism, suicide, graffiti, obstructions on the line, cable and cycle theft and ticket vending machines. Each has its own designated page providing a foundation to build on, and populate with shared industry knowledge. As new information becomes available, the site will develop and improve. Access to the site is password protected but will be granted freely to industry staff. The website can be found at: www.railcommunitysafety.com
