Appeals

Any Industry Standards Coordination Committee or Standards Committee decision, delay or failure to act under the Railway Group Standards Code (the Code) or any RSSB delay or failure to act under the Code may be subject to appeal. There are two levels of appeal, first to the Board of RSSB and second to the Office of Rail Regulation (ORR).

The Board of Directors of RSSB has approved a Procedure for Railway Group Standards Code Appeals.  This sets out details for the submission and processing of the appeal, the appeal hearing and actions following the hearing.  Once the Board has considered the appeal, a written statement setting out the decision and the reasons for it will be produced. This statement will be sent to all stakeholders involved in the matter.

Statements on decisions following appeals are published on this website.
