Measuring Safety Performance
Measuring Safety Performance is a new guidance document that has been developed to help railway companies identify the safety performance indicators (SPIs) that are the most appropriate to their operations and to ensure their continued effectiveness. It is based on research undertaken by the industry and established good practice.
The guidance provides a good practice approach to:
- Establishing an SPI programme
- Identifying SPIs
- Evaluating SPIs
- Using SPIs to support decisions
- Reviewing SPIs
SPI toolkit
Measuring Safety Performance is supported by a number of materials to make-up a toolkit to help members get the most out of their SPIs.
