Risk Assessment Guidance
Current safety legislation imposes a significant risk management commitment
on Railway Group members. Part of the role of the Risk analysis team is
to provide the industry with guidance on risk issues. Apart from internal
support for other RSSB departments, the risk analysis team provides assistance
in a number of areas such as:
- Development of a guidance note (GE/GN8561) for the production of
Railway Safety Case risk assessments
- Development of spreadsheet based templates to support the use of the
SRM for duty holder risk assessments
- Risk management guidance to individual stakeholders
- Expert input into major industry wide risk assessment projects
