Systems Interface CommitteesVehicle/Track Systems Interface Committee Annual Seminar – 5th November 2008 The Vehicle / Track Systems Interface Committee (V/T SIC) provides a focus for wheel / rail and vehicle / track interaction for the railway industry. The V/T SIC also provides an advice service to industry to help resolve specific wheel/rail interface related issues. On 5th November 2008, the V/T SIC will hold a seminar at The Studio, Birmingham, B2 5EP. The seminar will present the work undertaken by V/T SIC over the last year. Speakers from the V/T SIC and those who have participated in the work will describe the technical details of the work and key results. Topics to be covered include: Track-Ex – a tool to predict rolling contact fatigue and identify mitigations (case study: Wessex route), Innotrack, wheelset management best practice, and incentives for vehicle change.
