Health and wellbeing assessment resource
The workshop and briefing sessions are supported by filmed presentations and three short and easy to use booklets. The first two booklets provide further detail on the main subject areas. Booklet 3 outlines the session plans and it is advised that this booklet is read prior to using the resource.
However, the additional materials supplied also create the option for an organisation to tailor their own bespoke course.
To get started using this resource of materials we advise that you read the Briefing and Workshop session plan booklet:
Briefing / Workshop plans
To gain an understanding of the materials described within the workshops and briefings two short support booklets are provided:
The HWA Process
The 3 Areas of HWA
Use the filmed workshop presentation as part of the 2.5 hour workshop (timings include stopping points for interactive sessions and breaks).
All videos are hosted on YouTube. Transcripts for each are available on the RSSB YouTube site.
If you do not have enough time to hold a workshop the briefing sessions allow you to hold two 45 minute sessions to get the health and wellbeing message across.
Session 1 - The basics of health and wellbeing assessment
Session 2 - Health and wellbeing assessment in practice
There are also additional materials to help organisations tailor the available materials to their own needs. These include:
A short introductory film
Case study films: Task Assessment
Dust and sound hazards while working around stone blowers
The hazards associated with welding fumes
Management of issues related to cab ergonomics
Managing the health and wellbeing of an individual
