Industry wakes up to collaboration opportunities at fatigue forum
Featured story

An RSSB-led full-day forum focusing on fatigue will provide a timely opportunity for rail operations personnel to get the most out of the latest research and collaborate on new shared approaches.

New research could help rail companies to get better at predicting fatigue, planning and preparing rosters and shift patterns, as well as improving the way staff can prepare for first night shifts.  The forum aims to help the people who could actually benefit from the research to unpack it and consider how to take it forward in their own companies.

RSSB’s human factors specialist, Priya Shah, said, Fatigue has been identified as one of the 12 key risks in the health and safety strategy, where industry needs to make a step change.  Fundamentally our members face the same issues, so the chance to get together in the same room and take away useful knowledge and tools is one we know not many will want to miss.
