RSSB appoints new Business Development & Engagement Director and Chief Financial Officer
Paul McLaughlin will begin his role on 19 February 2018, and Paul will be tasked with supporting and expanding RSSB’s relationships with its members and stakeholders. Paul was most recently the Chief Executive at the Building Engineering Services Association, one of the UK’s largest construction trade associations.
Paul McLaughlin said: I’m very much looking forward to developing RSSB’s role in the industry; to meeting members who are at the heart of what we do, and to developing our business.
Furthermore, Paul Marchant, currently Head of Finance, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer with effect from 19 February 2018. This reflects the importance of the Finance and Procurement functions in RSSB, and will strengthen its strategic financial management. Paul joined RSSB in June 2014 as Management Accountant and has headed up the Finance team since July 2016.
Paul Marchant said: I am delighted to have the opportunity to take on this new role within RSSB, especially at such an exciting time for the company. In the four years I have been here we have taken considerable strides to address financial sustainability and demonstrate great value for money to our membership. It is vital we continue to develop our financial strategy to meet the challenges of the future head-on. I am really looking forward to working with everyone here at RSSB to achieve this aim.
Mark Phillips, RSSB’s Chief Executive, said: As we work to prepare RSSB for the challenges and opportunities of CP6, these appointments will help strengthen our strategic financial management and secure sustainability for the business. We are delighted to have both Paul McLaughlin and Paul Marchant on board, driving us forward.
