Podcast highlights: Season 2, Episode 2
Introducing our 2024–25 Annual Business Plan
Get the headlines from our Annual Business Plan. The Executive Committee outlines how RSSB will help the rail sector address this year’s biggest challenges.
Johnny Schute (COO), Keith Hanlon-Smith (CPO), Hannah Kingsley (CFO), and Paul McLaughlin (CCO) spoke about our goals for the year ahead.
Johnny gets us started by looking at cost reduction, performance enhancement, and customer satisfaction. Keith then discusses our high employee engagement rate and range of expertise—both of which will help us deliver on our commitments to industry.
The next topic is ‘strategic multipliers’. It’s a new way of working that will help us combine our expertise across multiple areas to generate more value. We’ll use them in safety and health insights, automation, testing capabilities, data use, weather resilience, and more.
Hannah talks about navigating the sector’s financial challenges. She shares her perspective on the shift to automation and better data visualisation capabilities. Then, Paul lays out our plans for growing our consultancy offerings and crafting new courses. Doing this will help us better understand our members’ needs and continue creating the outputs they need.
The episode concludes with a call for members to continue engaging with us through groups, committees, and other mediums.
