Risk and Safety Intelligence Updates - Period 8 2025-2026

In Period 8, LNER and Govia Thameslink Railway became the first operators to use a new Safe Insights feature that allows users to create records from their company reporting systems automatically. RSI presented on Taking Safe Decisions and the Safety-Related Cost-Benefit Analysis at an in-person refresher event for ORR colleagues. RSI led a bowtie workshop with Network Rail. RSI also met with National Air Traffic Services staff to share knowledge and ideas. Finally, RSI engaged with eight freight operating companies and ran gap analysis sessions to support data capture for the Freight Precursor Indicator Model.
