Incident data for HAZID
For HAZID, incident data may indicate actual examples of trespass, where they occurred, and the type of hazard(s) experienced. Incident data may also provide some insights into the Type of Trespass, trespass behaviour and motivation.
The dropdown below lists the sources of information available for collecting data about trespass incidents. Some of this data is “Essential” to the Risk Analysis and is required for all risk assessment sites.
NDFU-FUSION data is deemed Essential data for carrying out the Risk Analysis stage of assessment.
If FUSION data is unavailable, using an organisation’s own record of incident data or combining data like SMIS, TRUST or Control Centre Incident Log data could be a useful alternative. Caution should be adopted with using an organisation’s own incident data because it may only contain partial or incomplete information about trespass events.
The NDFU FUSION database combines and reconciles the TRUST and SMIS data.
The FUSION database is recommended as the best available consolidated record of trespass incidents.
Other data is classed as “Useful”, which may be useful to consider for high risk sites. These are listed in the dropdowns below.
