Welfare Facilities Charter
The complex nature of our industry presents many challenges in providing regular access to welfare facilities. This issue affects train drivers and infrastructure workers alike. Despite regulations aimed at ensuring safety, health, and equality, today’s rail industry must do more to prioritise the basic human needs and dignity of its workforce. Industry must work collaboratively to address the shortage of welfare facilities across the rail network. Measures should support collective action and the sharing of facilities, with a renewed emphasis on the physical and mental wellbeing of all rail employees.
