Train Operations - Contact time matters

04/12/2025
This webinar explored some of the most pressing and practical challenges in maintaining safety-critical competence among train drivers. Drawing on operational experience, regulatory requirements, and the changing needs of today’s workforce, experts covered a range of pertinent topics. These included: enhancing train driver route knowledge, mitigating the reduction in contact time, improving the ratio of driver standards managers to train drivers, returning to safety-critical duties after long absence, achieving competence for controllers of safety-critical work, and embedding non-technical skills.
If you missed the live webinar, you can catch up here.
