Current test status of superconducting maglev vehicles and running characteristics on the Yamanashi test line

This paper describes the test plan, main features of the second train set, the Train Control System, the Power Supply System and running characteristics on the Yamanashi Test Line. The running tests in the Yamanashi Test Line have been started in April 1997. The test plan has four phases.
