Impact of high-speed rail and maglev systems on electrical power utilities
Last updated on 19 October 2012 1:39
Proliferation of nonlinear loads is decreasing the quality of electrical power supply and causing power utilities to pay more attention to characteristics of individual customer loads. This is especially important when the load magnitudes are large, as is the case with electrified high-speed rail or magnetically levitated (maglev) transportation systems.
