Water cooling in power electronics : an efficient and ecologic system for FS locos

The state of art of power electronics in traction, points out many improvements of IGBT converters applications for distributed powers, while for concentrated powers the new generations of GTO allow to handle increased powers, associated to efficient cooling systems. It allows to reduce weight and volume and increase the reliability.
