General track inspection by commercial railway vehicles of Kyushu Shinkansen

JR Kyushu has succeeded in technical development to add inspection devices to Shinkansen commercial railway vehicles that were introduced in August 2009. These devices measure track irregularity, body vibration acceleration, and axle box vibration acceleration. General track inspection is now being conducted by remote control from PCs at the wayside.
