Railenergy (Innovative Integrated Energy Efficiency Solutions for Railway Rolling Stock, Rail Infrastructure and Train Operation) is a European Commission sponsored project with the overall objective to increase the energy efficiency of the railway system thus contributing to the reduction of life cycle costs of railway operation and of CO2 emission.
