Tests on the effect of pantograph arcing on SSI signalling equipment (RR-SSU-002)

It has been noted that certain types of electrical traction unit, equipped with capacitive loads between the pantograph and earth, can cause disruption of SSI signalling equipment. A series of tests were performed to characterise this disruption. This report summarises the tests undertaken and the results obtained.
