Hush rail : feasibility study of practical implementation (TM-MF-210)

A test length of a reduced height and damped rail (Hush Rail) intended to give significantly reduced wheel-rail noise when traversed by damped wheels has been laid at Egginton junction on the Derby - Crewe line. Results and analysis of noise measurements will be available in the period September-December 1990.
