Masonry structures project : preliminary study of the point load tester for determining brick strength (TM-CES-130)

Last updated on 12 April 2013 2:50
This report examines the use of the Point Load tester to find the compressive strength of bricks. The test is quicker and simpler than the British Standard test method, and appears to have potential for development as part of a method for assessing the load carrying capacity of masonry arches.
