Aerodynamic and thermal design for the Great Belt tunnel (PP) (TR-AER-013)

A tunnel is planned under the Great Belt to provide a rail connection between Copenhagen and western Denmark. Two twin bore options are under consideration, a bored tunnel 7.3 km long and an immersed tube tunnel 5.5. km long. A mixed operation involving both electric and diesel trains is planned.
