Ice formation in tunnles - a discussion of potential solutions with regard to Kilsby (TM-CES-074)

In late February/early March 1986, the problem of ice formation in various tunnels on Watford Area, caused closure of several tunnels and many man-hours of ice-clearing work. In particular Kilsby Tunnel was blocked for 5 days during this period. Similar problems are frequently encountered with many other tunnels on BR.
