Full-scale fire tests on railway vehicles 3.1 MKIII sleeping car : structural fire resistance (TM-HAZ-013)

The Structural Fire Resistance of the Mark III Sleeping Car has been tested by allowing the largest imaginable, accidental fire to develop in one berth. A two-berth module, which included one complete fire compartment, was built for the test, The stability of the structure remained intact throughout the test.
