Weld level analysis and the implications on rail straightening (TM-TD-018)

During the period of 1980-1984 the Track Development Unit has been involved in extensive monitoring of weld levels at many sites prior to rail straightening, and tamping or stone blowing. This report provides an analysis of the weld level distribution prior to rail straightening at each of these sites.
