A review of some numerical integration methods (IM-DA-329)

Many practical problems can be described by a system of ordinary differential equations. As there is no general analytical method available for solving such systems it is often not possible to obtain an explicit solution to a particular problem and it may then be desirable to seek a numerical approximation.
