Longitudinal design requirements for railway passenger vehicles - report on survey of DTp (railway inspectorate) accident reports 1970-1980 (IM-EST-011)

In order to gauge the extent of accident damage caused by the collision of passenger trains, a detailed review has been carried out of Public Enquiries held by the Railway Inspectorate between the years 1970-198O inclusive. This report summarises the findings particularly in respect of passenger coach damage.
