Identification of asbestos by optical methods (IM-LON-013)

A rapid method for the identification and differentiation of asbestos fibres has been evaluated. The apparatus needed is the microscope already in use in all Area Laboratories for routine determination of atmospheric asbestos concentrations. The method is suitable for Area Laboratory use.
