The effect of change in various vehicle & track parameters on rail life in curved track (IM-WRI-008)

Last updated on 07 June 2013 2:42
In this report the curving program of Elkins and Gostling (1) is used to predict wear parameters when various vehicle and track parameters are changed. It is shown how changes in cant deficiency, braking force, body mass, yaw stiffness, coefficient of friction, semi-wheelbase and wheel radius can affect rail life.
