Brake performance tests on R3 vehicle at Old Dalby 24.9.80 (IM-BS-015)

The BR/Leyland designed/developed R3 Railbus built by Wickhams for export to the USA underwent commissioning tests at the Old Dalby Test track for 4 days 22-25 Sept 80. Problems with the Leyland auto gear change control meant that serious brake testing could not be carried out until 24 Sept 80.
