Small scale testing of composition brake pad materials 2260F and 659F (TM-TRIB-048)

The following wear test programme was begun as the result of problems experienced with cast iron brake discs fitted to Class 313 G.N. stock running out of Moorgate. Discs are currently being replaced at up to twice the rate required by the maintenance schedule because of excessive and uneven wear.
