Investigation into the relative safety against derailment of CWR and jointed track by region (TM-FT-106)

The belief is that four-wheeled vehicle plain track derailments are more likely to occur on jointed track than on continuously welded track (henceforth 'CWR') and it is the purpose of this paper to examine this hypothesis.
