Failure of motor car windscreens in Kilsby tunnel (TM-FT-095)

Shortly after 1700 hours on 27 November 1979, trains 4M30 Ripple Lane to Garston and 1A60 Holyhead to Euston express converged in Kilsby Tunnel just south of Rugby. The express train, which was double headed, emerged with a damaged windscreen on loco 87101, (leading), the second locomotive 86032 being undamaged...
