Performance of composition brakeblocks in the wet (TN-TRIB-012)

Tests were made on a full scale inertia dynaometer to study the effect of water on the frictional efficiency of composition brakeblocks. The results show that Ferodo 27l8 brakeblocks have poor braking performance in wet conditions and its kinetic friction coefficient in the wet can be as low as 0.01.
