A preliminary investigation into the fatigue of fibre reinforced composite materials (TM-PDU-040)

Last updated on 28 June 2013 11:19
Quasistatic and zero-tension fatigue tests were carried out on unidirectional specimens of two CFRP and two ARP systems. Results are presented as plots of maximum stress against the logarithm of the number of cycles to failure. Problems encountered in the manufacture and testing of specimens are discussed and solutions proposed.
