A service appraisal of 4% phosphorus cast iron brake blocks on the Euston-Watford D.C. passenger stock (TM-MS-057)

The wear rates and stopping performance of standard (1.3% phosphorus), 3% phosphorus and 4% phosphorus cast iron brake blocks have been determined on a 3 coach class 501 d.c.
