Thermal shock measurement on ceramic insulators (IM-MS-026)

Four tube samples of Anderman and Ryder alumina ceramic insulators and two tube samples of a brown-coloured insulator suspected of being cordierite were received from Electrification Section for determination of the water quench thermal shock required to initiate cracking.
