Current tests on a tubular carbon resistor (IM-ETR-029)

Last updated on 05 July 2013 10:21
The object of these tests was to determine the thermal characteristics of a tubular carbon-ceramic resistor under a variety of electrical load conditions. It is envisaged that this resistor may be suitable as an energy dump for the TAIM or alternatively may find application as a braking resistance for locomotives.
