Waterproofing of bridge decks : 16. Bridges 191 (fox lane), 241 (crouch lane) and 243 (church lane), South East division, Southern Region (TM-PDU-025)

The concrete deck units for these bridges were waterproofed off site using a sprayed polyurethane membrane, protected by slate filled polyester boards. Spraying presented no problems and a good surface finish was obtained. However, laying the protection was a very laborious process because of the need to "tailor" the boards...
