Report of preliminary work on advanced welding equipment control project (IM-ES-052)

The project is dependent upon the ability to obtain a television picture of the Weld pool, adequate for the electronic extraction of feed-back signals to control the welding process. By this is understood a picture from which information on the size and shape of the weld pool could be obtained.
