Slot harmonic losses in plain and sleeved solid-rotor TAIM's (IM-ES-053)

Currents are induced in the rotor of an induction motor as it moves past the slotted stator. In a solid-rotor machine, analysis is complicated by saturation and the superposition of main and harmonic fields. Analysis and measurements are compared for an experimental solid rotor motor and the agreement is good.
