Improvements in rail flash-weld profile finishing-pilot 'super-straight' rail project (TN-MET-012)

This report describes the production of a short length of C.W.R. containing flash-welds with much improved running surface profiles. The profiles obtained were, in fact, better' than those observed on samples of plain rail. This improvement has been facilitated by the use of innovations in the production line, i.e.
