Description of an experimental rig for the evaluation of a.c. diesel-electric traction systems (IM-ES-041)

The traction system which this rig was designed to simulate is described in ESN-59 but for convenience a brief summary will be given here. The requirements of the system are to drive an a.c. induction traction motor from a diesel engine. The possible ways of achieving this are:- ...
