Transient pressure protection of high speed vehicles - an experiment to model a high impedance ventilation system (IM-AERO-097)
Last updated on 26 July 2013 1:57
When trains pass through tunnels at high speed, significant pressure transients are incurred which are found by many people to be extremely discomforting. Total sealing of a train temporarily while it passes through a tunnel is a solution for short tunnels, but for long tunnels, fresh air ventilation must proceed.
