Sodium sulphur cell safety progress. March - September 1975 (TM-EC-008)

Safety tests using 33T series central sulphur cells have been continued at British Rail and several corrosion protective coatings and treatments have been evaluated at Harwell in out-of-cell tests. To date over 30 cells incorporating 'Grafoil' corrosion protection sleeves and steel mesh sodium flow restrictors have been safety tested.
