White metal casting facilities at Swindon works (IM-MS-020)

Following an investigation into the effects of heat treatment on the running properties of wagon plain bearings, (TMMS.10, F.H. Eley) a visit was paid to the white-aetalling workshop at B.R.E.L. Swindon. Most of the stages from the return of used bearings through to the final inspection before dispatch were seen.
