Specific energies and costs of sodium/sulphur cells (TN-EC-008)

Specific energies and costs are calculated for three designs of sodium/sulphur cell: flat plate cell; central sodium electrode tubular cell; and central sulphur electrode tubular cell. The variation of specific energy and cost with energy/power ratio, solid electrolyte resistivity, and current collector material, is shown in tabular and graphical form.
