Derailment of 6T80, 22.23 h tonbridge to Chatham at Halling on 1 OCT 74 (TM-FT-049)

At 23.14 h on Tuesday 1 Oct 74 the 22.23 h train from Tonbridge to Chatham reporting No. 6T80, consisting of locomotive No. 71005 and 25 fully fitted 16 ton mineral wagons loaded with gypsum, became derailed on plain track whilst passing through Hailing Station.
