Linear induction motor - effect of gaps in reaction rail (IM-EDYN-011)
Last updated on 02 August 2013 3:11
If a vehicle, propelled by a linear induction motor, encounters points or crossings, the reaction rail will normally be interrupted and the forward thrust of the motor will be reduced. Various measurements were made with rail geometries of different design, at 0 speed, to examine the effect of gap design.
