Derailment of train 6E42 at New Barnetby level crossing on 11th December 1973 (TM-FT-035)

Train 6E42, the 14.40 h from Spondon to Immingham on Tuesday, 11 Dec 73 became derailed on plain line at 17.20 h at New Barnetby. The train comprised 19 empty, 4.57 m (15ft) wheelbase, oil tank wagons hauled by locomotive 47166.
